On the 29th May we celebrated The Fourth Sunday of Easter, which is also known as Good Shepherd Sunday. It is called by this name as the Gospel is always taken from the Tenth Chapter of John's Gospel, where Jesus calls himself the Shepherd of the people.
Good Shepherd Sunday is sometimes known as Vocations Sunday, as on this day the Church encourages us to pray for vocations, especially to the priesthood. Not only are we encouraged to pray for those individuals discerning a vocation to the Ordained life, but we are also reminded how integral priesthood is to the life of the Church.

The 32nd Provincial Chapter was held at Wealdstone on 17th and 18th April. It proved to be a very worthwhile and fruitful occasion and enabled us to get an overview of the situation in the province and to prepare for the General Chapter in October.
In this year’s upcoming general chapter there is a renewed focus towards Jesus being the only source and centre for our lives, which is why the theme for this upcoming chapter will be: to know, to love and to Proclaim Jesus. We looked at new media, communication, youth ministry and more; all areas which point towards making Christ known and loved in the world.
